FCEUX merges elements from FCE Ultra,
FCEU rerecording, FCEUXD, FCEUXDSP, and FCEU-mm into a single branch of FCEU. As the X implies, it is
an all-encompassing FCEU emulator that gives the best of all worlds for the general player, the ROM-hacking
community, and the Tool-Assisted Speedrun Community.
This version includes Lua scripting (along with luabot) and the new .fm2 movie format,
as well as all previous FCEU features. |

This emulator is the
one to use for SNES TASing, including cheat searching and watching,
and reset recording capabilities. Currently, there is an improvement
in beta, which will replace this one on the recommended list
shortly. SNES9x 1.51 is also available, but has some bugs which
make usage difficult, and emulation has been changed in some
games. |

Mupen is the first,
and still only, Nintendo 64 emulator that has been given re-recording
capabilities. There are still some emulation and desync issues
with some games, but in most cases it is quite reliable.
